Who I am

This is undoubtedly the hardest dilemma my psyche has ever mulled over for days on end. If art is an expression of your true self, why does artist's block occur? If we don't know who we are, how can we accurately depict our perception of ourselves and others? What is it- that any of us are trying to achieve? Art is the method of discovery I use to work towards an explanation. It is easy to feel for what you like and what you think is good. That is your inner self revealing itself to you. I don't know who I am, but I try to listen every day. It could be a color attached to a memory, or the subtle overly critical mood I have to train my mind away from. Who I am currently is the turning of these struggles into skillful expression. Writing this has been a good reminder to myself; don't take it too serious as it is simply a channel of inventing yourself.

Thank you for reading and taking part in the art community, however so.
